Στη Σκιά του Κριάκουρα

The “In the Shadow of Kriakouras” mountain race is being held for the 12th year in Theodoriana, Arta, offering two challenging courses of 10 and 23 kilometres. The routes cross fir forests, rivers and trails of exceptional natural beauty and difficulty, revealing the secrets of the Tzoumerka mountains. The race is dedicated to the person who inspired the first event in 2014 and serves as a qualifying race for participation in major mountain marathons. The start and finish are in the central square of Theodoriana, with all races starting at 10:00 a.m.

Entry includes a technical T-shirt, commemorative medal, electronic timing, individual refreshments and a meal featuring traditional products after the race. Race bibs can be collected from the race office on Saturday from 18:00 to 21:00 and on Sunday from 8:00 to 9:30. There are 12 aid stations on the 23 km course and 4 on the 10 km course. Hiking poles and GPS devices are permitted. Camping is available, along with a wide range of accommodation options in the area. The race takes place on 23 August 2026 and is open to both men and women. The event promotes sport, connection with nature and local tradition.
