Black Yard Ultra

BLACK YARD Ultra by Mamali Festival is a challenging ultra trail race that starts and finishes at Mamali Festival Base Camp, at an elevation of approximately 1,454 meters. It features a Last Runner Standing ultra race, a 12-kilometer race, and a 1-kilometer children’s race. The 12-kilometer loop has 514 meters of ascent and runs mainly on trails and dirt roads. The ultra requires experience, as the laps become increasingly demanding and the time allowed to complete them decreases. Base Camp offers camping facilities, showers, food, and a festival atmosphere, creating a unique experience for participants.

The Last Runner Standing race allows 2 hours for the first lap, with the time decreasing by 3 minutes for each subsequent lap. Mandatory gear: headlamp, phone, water bottles, rain jacket, and emergency blanket. Base Camp offers free camping, showers, toilets, food, electricity, and a festival atmosphere. Aid stations provide electrolytes, bananas, water, Coca-Cola, and snacks; after 4 hours, potatoes, pasta, and soup are also available. Maximum number of participants: 100. A medical certificate is required. August weather is hot and humid, with an average temperature of 35°C and 25 mm of rainfall, making an early morning start essential.
