The 2nd Mountain Trail Running Races on the trails of the Valtinos Fighters – Chalkiopoulo Trail Run 2026 will take place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Neo Chalkiopoulo, Valtos, Aetolia-Acarnania, with the start at 9 a.m. The event is organized by the Association of Chalkiopoulo Residents of Athens–Piraeus “Saint Andrew the Hermit,” the Chalkiopoulo Cultural and Educational Association, the Chalkiopoulo Local Community, and the Municipality of Amfilochia. The races include two distances, 27 and 10 kilometers, crossing the beautiful mountain landscapes of Chalkiopoulo and Valtos and offering a unique mountain-running experience.

The races are organized by the Association of Chalkiopoulo Residents of Athens–Piraeus “Saint Andrew the Hermit,” the Chalkiopoulo Cultural and Educational Association, the Chalkiopoulo Local Community, and the Municipality of Amfilochia. The races start at 9 a.m. in Neo Chalkiopoulo. The 27 km route passes several local points of interest and villages, offering a complete mountain-running experience. Mountain-trail routes, a camping area, a meal for finishers, limited accommodation in the village—early booking is recommended.
