2ο Φεστιβάλ Αθλητισμού Δυτικής Μάνης

The 2nd West Mani Sports Festival is a two-day sporting event held in Stoupa, Messinia, by the sea. It includes open-water swimming over distances of 0.5 km, 1 km and 2 km, running, children’s races and aquathlon. The 500-metre course is triangular, with electronic timing and awards. All participants receive a medal, bib, swim cap, technical T-shirt and local products. The event is organized by the Municipality of West Mani, and proceeds support the West Mani GAIA volunteer association.

Participants under 18 need written parental consent. There are free children’s races and aquathlon events involving running and swimming. Each participant receives a bib, swim cap, technical T-shirt and local products. The swimming events start in the early afternoon. June weather is hot and humid, with an average temperature of 32°C and high humidity, so an early-morning start is recommended. Events take place on sea routes and mountain/paved trails, with races for children and adults, awards and distinctions, and environmentally friendly and cultural activities.
