Race description
The Messinia Challenge 2026 is a multifaceted sporting event held in Pylos, Messinia, offering three running routes: the Greek Half Marathon, a 10-kilometer route, and a shorter 5.4-kilometer route. The courses combine asphalt, dirt roads, and seaside trails, providing a unique experience in a natural environment with views of the Gialova lagoon and Natura 2000 landscapes. The event attracts athletes of all levels and ages, while also offering a rich program of activities and cultural events. The organization is hosted in luxury resorts in the area, enhancing the participants' experience.

The program includes numerous sports and cultural activities, such as seminars, climbing lessons, water sports, and cooking challenges. The Messinia Challenge 2026 is Greece's first fully sustainable running event, with over 5,500 participants from 34 countries and a focus on environmental responsibility, inclusion, and community.
