Race description
Ainos Mountain Marathon is a challenging mountain marathon held on Mount Ainos in Kefalonia. The 40.5 km course crosses mountainous terrain with technical trails and a total positive elevation gain of 2,500 meters, offering panoramic views of the surrounding islands and the mountains of central Greece and the Peloponnese. There are also races of a half marathon 23.5 km and an 11.1 km trail race, starting from the village Pygri. The event offers bus transportation for athletes, free food after the race, and special offers on ferry tickets and accommodation.

Additional information
Athletes are transported by bus from Poros and Pygri to the start. After the race, free food is offered with a special card. The next day, free transportation and guided tours are available to the Melissani and Drogarati caves. A pasta party is organized the night before the race. There are special offers on ferry tickets and free accommodation for the first 50 athletes. The race includes technical trails, demanding terrain, and offers participation packages with discounts and amenities, as well as events before and after the race, such as pasta parties and area tours.
