4ο Argithea Mountain Race

The 4th Argithea Mountain Race is a challenging mountain race held in the area of Petrito, Karditsa, on June 7, 2026. It includes several courses, such as the Argithea Skyrace 30 km with 2,000 m of elevation gain, the Vlachogiannis Race 15 km with 700 m of ascent, a 5 km family race, and a 1 km children’s race. There is also the Lakos Vertical course, 3.6 km with 700 m of ascent, offering a unique experience on trails through a fir forest with views of the Agrafa peaks. The race attracts runners who love the mountains and a challenge, while also offering activities for the whole family.

The Lakos Vertical course starts from the Vasilades settlement and climbs continuously along an old stone-paved path and trails with potable water. The finish is at Tsoutes, at an elevation of 1,750 m, with views of the Aforismeni, Karagounis, and Delidim peaks. There are also races for families and children, as well as hiking and mountain bike races. The event includes mountain running races, a vertical race, family and children’s courses, and activities on the natural trails and in the landscapes of the Thessalian Agrafa mountains.
