Race description
The 29th Koudouma Race is a demanding off-road and hiking race held in the Sternes area, Heraklion, Crete. The 22.5-kilometer route includes mountainous and difficult terrain with 9 kilometers of uphill and 13.5 kilometers of downhill on a dirt road, starting from Sternes and finishing at the Holy Monastery of Koudouma. The race offers free transportation for athletes from Heraklion and a meal for participants after the event. The organization is welcoming and emphasizes safety and a good experience for runners.

Additional information
Free bus transportation for athletes from Eleftheriou Venizelou Square, Heraklion at 07:30 a.m. on race day. Race completion time limit is 3 hours. Prizes for the top 3 in each category and commemorative gifts for all participants. Age and gender categories with a minimum of 4 participants per category. Available categories for various ages, transportation from Heraklion, a meal is offered after the race, participation at own risk, and a three-hour time limit.
