13ος Αυξέντιος Δρόμος

The 13th Avxentios Race is a 7.4-kilometer road race held in the Pirouniana area of Heraklion, Crete. The start and finish are in the courtyard of the Church of the Holy Spirit. The circular route follows rural dirt roads and accessible trails, passing important local landmarks such as the settlement of Pirouniana, the stone fountain, Agios Georgios Chostos (11th century), the waterfall, and the forest. The race is open to men, women, teenage boys, and teenage girls, offering an opportunity for physical activity in a natural and historic setting.

Transport to the start is by bus, or alternatively by private vehicles and pickup trucks. Sports events are held for all ages. The race includes men's and women's age-group categories. The route has minimal paved-road sections and is nature-oriented. Routes of 7.4 km and 600 m; rural grassy track; three age categories; finish in the courtyard of the Church of the Holy Spirit; includes competitive categories and routes for students and teenage girls.
