Race description
The 13th Axentios Race is a 7.4-kilometer running event held in the Pirouniana area, Heraklion, Crete. The start and finish are located in the courtyard of the Holy Spirit Church. The route is circular and crosses rural dirt roads and accessible trails, passing through significant local attractions such as the Pirouniana settlement, the stone fountain, Saint George Chosto (11th century), the waterfall, and the forest. The race is open to men, women, teenagers, and young women and offers an opportunity for athletic activity in a natural and historical environment.
